Beautiful and strong mid-season corn with a dense canopy and our highest yielding corn for tougher ground in more northern regions. With good soil, or even marginal soil, 200+ bu/ ac is not unheard of. Stand height on average of 12-13 ft.
Our Tug-of-War 100 day conventional corn seed is great for those looking to add another feed or even silage option to their farm.
Tug-of-War Corn is a tender, GMO free, warm-season annual that is best planted after the soil temperature reaches 55°F (15°C), usually 2 or 3 weeks after the last frost in spring. Corn requires 60 to 100 frost-free days to reach harvest depending upon variety and the amount of heat during the growing season. Corn grows best in air temperatures from 60° to 95°F ((16-35°C). Corn planted in cold, wet soil is unlikely to germinate.
Plant at 2" in depth to allow for maximum brace root hold allowing for larger stand height. A 3" deep planting rate is ok for areas that are exceptionally dry. The deeper planting rate allows for better moisture absorption in dryer climates
Our corn comes in 80,000 kernel bags and we recommend a planting population of 28k-34k.
Ideal for 50-100 miles south of the I-90 corridor
